Binding & Finishing

Binding options range between Perfect (glue), Saddle Stitch (staple), and Comb

Perfect Binding is where stacked pages are glued directly to the spin without stitching. Perfect bound books have measure of durability, but generally do not lay flat, and don’t accept inclusion pages. Products you could get with Perfect Binding include but are not limited to:

  • Notepads

  • Employee Handbooks

  • Paperback Books

  • 2-part to 5-part NCR (typically used for receipt paper)

Saddle-Stitched Binding is among the easiest and most common methods of booklet binding. It is a soft type of binding which uses staples on the seam or spine where it folds. It is ideal for binding smaller booklets with minimal pages, such as books, brochures, and catalogs that are under 100 pages. Saddle-Stitched binding products include but are not limited to:

  • Booklets

  • Manuals

  • Programs

  • Brochures

Comb Binding once completed has the ability to lie flat. Holes are punched along the side where the binding is preferred. A plastic comb (a cylinder with plastic fingers that are flexible to open) is inserted into the corresponding holes. Examples of Comb Binding include but are not limited to:

  • Small hanging Wall Calendars

  • Manuals

  • Booklets

  • Programs

  • Proposals

Mounting and Foam Core are two ways you can bring immediate attention to your product. By mounting, we glue your product to your selection of backing, allow the product to dry over a few hours and then distribute to you, display ready! Examples of Mounting and Foam Core options include but are not limited to:

  • Foam Cardboard

  • T-Back

All other forms of mounting can be discussed upon consultation.
